  • Jonah stated this when he received a delegation of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers ( NSChE
), who paid him a courtesy check out at Government Property, Yenagoa.
He said that developing refineries and creating gear and elements in the nation would
go a long way to boost the regional content material and manpower base.
He emphasised the want to discourage reliance
on foreign equipment and components for the country’s industrial requires
and services. According to him, enabling Nigerian engineers to manage refineries and other
industrial requirements will raise the country’s Gross Domestic Product ( GDP )
and stimulate the economy. He mentioned he was delighted by the association’s determination to ensure the commencement of manufacturing in-nation.

Jonah also challenged the association to champion the advocacy for protected environment,
stressing that Nigerian waters specifically, had been not protected due to enormous pollution. "We can get items right when we commence thinking inwards, and get started making factors for ourselves. "I agree with you that Nigeria, currently, has the capacity to
deliver nearby refineries. If you produce gear locally, the amount that
you invest increases your GDP. "If you procure outside the country, you are adding to the GDP of other nations. "There are a number of benefits in creating factors locally.
That’s the only way we can create ourselves that is the only way we
can generate opportunities for the young ones,’’ Jonah mentioned.

Earlier in his remarks, Prof. Sunday Adefila, the National President of the
society, had said that the courtesy check out was element of
the activities of the Annual General Meeting/Conference scheduled for Friday
    and Saturday in Port Harcourt.

Probably in Diden’s peculiar mindset, Okowa ‘is the most certified amongst the aspirants for the best job’ completely due
to the fact he has promised a ‘chop chop’
government according to Diden’s ‘Monkey will operate and Monkey will eat’ template.

Effectively, we are persons and not monkeys in Delta, and we take a rather deem
view of a government that will only come for the exclusive ‘settlement’ of a cabal in the corridors
of energy. This enticement to ‘come and chop’ only reveals the Okowa-Diden tag group as an unacceptable addition to the present
spate of unprecedented underdevelopment we are saddened to witness across
Delta below Governor Uduaghan. In any case, as to Okowa
being ‘the most qualified’ according to Diden, we naturally
assume that only an individual who is himself qualified to be Governor
would be able to validly make such a sweeping verdict.

Diden’s imperious assertion really should thus only be offered a second glance if Deltans think about Diden to be qualified to
be their Governor. Fortunately, Diden doesn’t want to be
our Governor, realizing complete well that he is morally, intellectually and politically not qualified.
What Diden wants to be - at least for now - is the Deputy Governor of Delta below Okowa.
This nevertheless returns us to the exact same challenge,
for according to the law, a man is only certified to be Deputy Governor if,
and only if, he is also qualified to be Governor.

Instructively, Evangelist Diden, whom we are entitled to hold up to a
incredibly high common of private and public morality, apparently wishes to
achieve his tall ambition through the shortcut of the back door.

To our utter bemusement, it appears Diden is warming up to transfer his
INEC registration from Koko in Warri North LGA, to Elume in Okpe LGA,
if he has not currently performed so! What a spectacular capper from a correct man of
God! Diden was Chairman, Warri North LGA and is presently Commissioner representing
the Itsekiri ethnic nationality on the board of the Delta State Oil
Producing Places Improvement Commission, DESOPADEC. He is
also the Chairman of Gelegele Neighborhood in Itsekiri land.
We come across it utterly bizarre that a pastor, of all
people, would be an Itsekiri man now and for completely political reasons, metamorphose into an Okpe man first point tomorrow morning.

When I genuinely think in miracles, I can even so solemnly
affirm that not even the sleekest cat in the entire world can be a leopard by day only to come to be a
lion in the middle of the evening. No one particular must ever be permitted to eat his cake and have
it, in this alarming manner of a greedy hunter. It is incontrovertibly a
macabre act of grotesque ungratefulness that his most
up-to-date stratagem amounts to using and dumping his fellow
Itsekiri as it suits him. We doubt that the Itsekiri race will take kindly to such ingratitude and permit Diden to bite the finger that fed him in this unconscionably audacious manner.

We can even so assure Diden that neither the Okpes
nor their fellow Urhobos will stomach such an insulting act of misguided braggadocio from
him. The former Chairman, Warri North LGA, present Chairman,
Gelegele Neighborhood and serving Commissioner representing the Itsekiri ethnic nationality on the DESOPADEC board,
cannot all of a sudden develop into an Urhobo man overnight to emerge from Delta
Central as Okowa’s running mate. If Diden ever had any Urhobo roots
and was ever proud of them, he really should have identified himself as an Urhobo man a long time
ago! By aligning himself with Diden in this disgusting manner, Okowa has only shot himself in the foot by unwittingly exposing his gross contempt for the Urhobo nation whom he had all along pretended to hold in the highest esteem.
These Urhobos who betrayed David Edevbie to vote for Okowa in the PDP primaries really should hide their faces
in shame. Most of us in Delta are now resolved to stand
for justice and locate this to be irredeemably inequitable.

Deltans unite your liberation is at hand!

productive engagement in the political life of their respective countries.
